Visa fees to be paid by Demand Draft


Visa fees are to be paid by Demand Draft (in Indian Rupees) at the time of application.
No visa application can be processed without visa fees being paid.

Payable to: Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Kolkata
Payable in: Kolkata
Date of issue: within 2 months

Visa fees (60 Euros, payable in Indian Rupees only):
  with effect from 19.03.2010:
for Schengen visa:Rs. 3800/-
(children below the age of 6 are free)
for long term/residence permit visa:Rs. 3800/- for adult & Rs 1900/- for minor
for spouses of EU citizensfree of charge

Depending on the exchange rates visa fees are subject to change.

Climate – Energy – Environment

At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 15), which took place in December 2009 in Copenhagen, Germany pushed for a new global climate protection treaty. In a government statement to parliament Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel emphasized the importance of the meeting with over 190 participating states. Ms Merkel said that a failure of the world climate conference would throw back international climate policy by years.
